Fun with online blackjack terminologies

Online casinos come from a long line of real live or ground casinos, as you may call them. Over the decades of gambling, people started using mnemonics as a way of expressing things. Mnemonics are basically ways of referring to an action or set of actions with just one word or more than one word. It is sort of like euphemism but euphemism is something different.

There are a lot of interesting terminologies in online casinos and real casinos which not only seem interesting but are also funny to hear.

Action:
This word depicts the start or initiation of the game.

Counting backwards:
Back counting or counting backwards refers to a situation when a person is counting cards but he / she is not part of the game. Back counting is more of a spectator act.

Bankroll:
As the name suggests, bankroll either represents a crumpled fist of dollars or nicely packaged bank notes in an envelope. The main thing is how you invest and spend your bank roll throughout online blackjack.

Barred / Banned:
History repeats itself occasionally whenever a player is caught cheating on a massive level. Punishment is one thing but the casino or entire casino organization bans him / her from entering the casino again forever.

Burn Card(s):
This is the term used when your dealer removes a top card from blackjack shoe, after shuffling. Online and offline casinos religiously follow this activity to avoid cheating. Some casinos also remove last card from the deck too but it rarely happens.
